Intensified Sexual Desire (Hypersexuality)

While a significantly heightened sex drive is usually associated with moderate and severe brain injuries, this condition occasionally occurs as a result of a concussion. In some cases, this intensified drive is manageable. In other instances, it can become overwhelming and compel an individual to make inappropriate jokes, comments, and physical advances, or to engage in public exhibitionism (the act of exposing one’s body parts—specifically the genitals or buttocks) and other overtly sexual behavior.
